Discovery Hall Programs frequently offers internship opportunities for students to assist and learn through their marine science-based field trip classes and summer camp programs. These include academic year or summer internships for high school students, and internships of varying lengths for college undergraduate and graduate students.
2018 Summer Environmental Education Internship
Discovery Hall Programs at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab has a summer internship position available for an undergraduate (junior, senior, or recent graduate) from ethnic groups under-represented in marine science and environmental education.
Interns work with the DHP’s Marine Educators in our many summer programs for K-12 students, teachers and the public. Interns assist in all aspects of logistics, planning, classroom prep, and teaching. This is a wonderful opportunity for science education majors to learn more about environmental education, marine science, and the Gulf coast while living at the beach!
To apply, please send cover letter, intern application form, and current student transcripts to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line, Discovery Hall Summer Internship.
